1. ANCHOR<\/p>\n

Where I was standing.(or Falling)<\/h2>\n

In 1987, I fell three stories from a billboard.<\/p>\n

I broke enough of myself that the life I had planned stopped being available.<\/p>\n

That was the first time I had to rebuild from the floor.<\/p>\n

It was not the last.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. THE WALL<\/p>\n

What kept coming.<\/h2>\n

I rebuilt.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fifteen years in corporate work: safety, IT, communications.<\/p>\n

Then a merger ended that too.<\/p>\n

The career, the farm, the family. Gone.<\/p>\n

Everything I owned fit in three bags<\/p>\n

I lost my oldest son to suicide<\/p>\n

I spent seven years caring for my parents <\/p>\n

Until they passed.<\/p>\n

Then a stroke took my voice.<\/p>\n

3. THE SNAP<\/p>\n

What seven years taught me.<\/h2>\n

Seven years.<\/p>\n

Two people who needed someone every day.<\/p>\n

That someone was me.<\/p>\n

There were mornings I could not do it.<\/p>\n

Not would not. Could not.<\/p>\n

Their need did not change on those mornings.<\/p>\n

Only who was there to meet it.<\/p>\n

That is the thing I know now.<\/p>\n

It only works when I’m available to work<\/p>\n

Otherwise, it does not work.<\/p>\n

I needed systems.<\/p>\n

4. NEXTSTEP<\/p>\n

What do I do about it now?<\/h2>\n

So I stopped trying to be the answer for everyone, one person at a time.<\/p>\n

I build systems<\/strong> that carry the support.<\/p>\n

Today I publish Nextstepnext<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Eighteen weekly letters, one for each platform. LinkedIn, YouTube, podcasting, email, AI, and thirteen more.<\/p>\n

Each issue does two things. It reports one real thing that changed on that platform this week, and it gives you one move you can make in fifteen minutes.<\/p>\n

Fifteen minutes, because that is what a hard day allows.<\/p>\n

That is not a marketing constraint.<\/p>\n

It is the only kind of advice that ever actually worked for me.<\/p>\n

I currently live in Hitchcock, Texas.<\/p>\n

I have been building websites since 2007 and teaching social media, podcasting, and livestreaming since 2013.<\/p>\n

600+ livestream interviews recorded.<\/p>\n

Nearly 1,000 people trained to launch and run a podcast.<\/p>\n

Still getting up. Still serving people.<\/p>\n
