[00:00:00] Introduction: Welcome to the #PirateBroadcast™, where we interview #interestingpeople doing #interestingthings. Where you can expand your connections, your community, #kindnessiscool and #smilesarefree. Let’s get this party started.

[00:00:10] Russ Johns: 500 episodes, 500 episodes. Can you believe? This is insanity. I think it's insanity. And what I'm doing right now is I'm going to go into Instagram and create a Instagram story. Maybe I will. We'll see. We'll see, I just think it's interesting that we can have so many amazing adventures together. And the thing that is always impressing me is that we just have to get up, show up, do our thing, and I'm going to go live. Let me check the connection here. See, you're now live. 500 episodes on IG. Instagram. And today we're launching 500 episodes. For those in the U S it's, Labor Day. I think there's actually labor day Canada as well. So for my Canadian friends have a wonderful day. For everyone have a wonderful day. Hope you're doing well. I love that you're here. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you for the continued support and everything that we do together. I think it's an amazing adventure and I've been collecting testimonials from a few people, so I'll be sharing those a little bit later. However, I want to just give you an update on and thank you. Thank you. All the #gratitude in the world for all the support and continuing to show up. It's just amazing to think we've had so many amazing guests, just unique and individual that is just continuing to be amazing. And I got to quit saying that word now. Amazing. And I even have my #kindnessiscool shirt on. I don't know. You can see thaton IGTV. Lisa Fenton is on. Yes, we're here. There is a holiday today. Who knew? I don't keep track of those things. And Tracie, thank you so much for showing up and being the producer of this show. She's done this for over a year and I couldn't have done it without her. I I just love the support and encouragement she gives me. And Lisa says, love being part of the community. We appreciate all you do. And how you champion kindness. I think right now we have to champion kindness. It's really a unique time in history. And we're at this intersection of challenging moment and exciting times for humanity. And if you're not thinking about change or you're not thinking about evolving, you're not thinking about your flexibility and encouraging others around you. Maybe it's something you should think about. Maybe there's something that you can consider and prepare yourself for and continue to encourage others to be a little of. Have a little empathy, have some compassion for those around you. And please, be open to listening to some other opinions, be open to the ideas and consideration of other people. And I'm not going to get into a big deep conversation today cause I think it's more about the pirates in the community today. Because without you, I wouldn't be here without you. I wouldn't be able to continue producing this show. So it's really about how we can lead with compassion, Lisa. Absolutely. Absolutely. And then There's Jenny Gold in the room. Thank you, Jenny Gold happy 500 episode. Yes. Ooh, celebrate. Tracie says, good morning, pirate's! Happy 500th episode, Russ. Elize is in the house. Thank you so much for being here. The one who. I like that the one who from YouTube. I'm in Virginia. Fantastic. So you're off, you have a holiday today too. Good morning, Tracie and Russ, Marcia Reece. You made it. I got your email. Thank you. Looking forward to next steps and all the adventures we're going to have in place. Going forward, I'm going to take, I'm going to take a couple of weeks off. We'll come back at the end of the month and start up on a different, a little different schedule. I think I'm going to probably do Tuesday, Thursday, and I'm going to have a Wednesday evening show, a five o'clock show. That'll allow people from the other side of the world to maybe join in on occasion. So stay tuned for that schedule. That'll be awesome. That'll be fantastic. I promise new adventures. The one who says amazing. Wendy said, happiest 500 day celebrating you Admiral. Thank you, Wendy. I appreciate it. Oh, the one who I'll say, okay. She just got laid off. So you probably need to jump over on LinkedIn and join a few groups that are looking to help people searching for jobs. I'm an ornamental metal worker railings engaged. I would think that would be, I would think that would be in demand right now. So Elizabeth, I have a story to tell. So pleased for you, Tracie, and your brand 500. Wow. I can't wait to reach that milestone. So many interesting stories to share. Just we all need to listen more one creative action. Keep continuing the smiles, kindness and leader. Absolutely Liz. And I'm also going to be speaking tomorrow. Liz is a book club. So if you, and I don't promote this as much, but if you ever need a speaker, you need somebody to talk about motivation or inspiration or, picking yourself up and moving forward and stream podcasting. And just give me a call. Look to love to share some stories with you. Pirates unite with kindness. Absolutely. Michael Baker and from Florida. Good morning pirates. Mahesh, good evening. Hope I got that right. Kenyatta says, wowee, 500. Kenyatta is doing a live radio show every Saturday at 11 am Arizona time. The natural grocer on 1510 AM. I think it's 105.5 on FM and also streaming live on Facebook and around. Catch her there. I always like to promote the pirates, whatever you're doing. So congratulations on your 500 episode of pirateness. Hooray for the pirate broadcast community that you created, russ Johns. Thank you so much Kenyatta. You're awesome. I love you. So let's shift gears a little bit over here, online. Sarah Bateman joined wave. Woo. Love that. And too many things going on. So let me focus. So let me focus on this because I want to make sure that I share some of the things that you guys have said about what it is that we do, what it is we can do. Okay. So I'm going to share my screen. And I want to share the screen here. I'm going to share this and I want to make sure that you can hear it though. I want to say, Hey Russ, how's it going? All right. Let's see. Let's see if I can do this. Oh, this is inconvenient. So let's do this. Okay. Can you hear that? Oh, and there's my partner in crime, Barbara, too. Being on your podcast was super awesome. Super fun, easy, like no stress, just a fun conversation. And I really appreciate your curiosity. Wonder about how I got to where I am and how I partner. I got to where we are with our company and like all this stuff. It was super cool, super easy and super fun. I would tell anybody who wants to be on a podcast that they should reach out to you because you make it so easy to do. And for someone who sometimes a little nervous about that, or who's never done it before. It just felt completely safe and easy and and no stress, flexible and the lax on it. That was super cool. I really appreciate that. You're seeing the bar really high for everybody else. I wanted you to know that. Thank you. There you go. Can you hear that? Did that audio come through that? I share it correctly. It's still really early for me. Yeah. And Karen greetings from Florida. Thank you so much. Michael Baker says inspire, encourage, validate, and motivate kindness. Open honest conversation was mutual understanding of true communication. Absolutely. Absolutely. Kenyatta says, Aw, Russ. Thanks for the natural grocer radio show. Shout out. So stoked. You're partnering with us. Good. Love you, dear friend. Thanks for all of us DGC here. Hoxton DaVita Lewis. Stephanie Stanley. That's the crew over there? Yes. Oh, good. It came through fine. Thank you, Tracie. Okay. So I want to talk about the schedule going forward. I want to talk about the schedule going forward in terms of what the #PirateBroadcast™ is going to be doing. Cause I've also recently been added to Amazon live, which is a slightly different format than what the pirate broadcast is traditionally experienced with. Talking to guests and everything like that. And so I'm going to experiment with a few shows on Amazon live. Also, what I'll do is I'll do Tuesday mornings I'll continue with the Tuesday and Thursday morning show. And then a Wednesday at five o'clock show is what I'm planning. And I wanted to do the five o'clock show a little longer and just play with that a little bit. And then I'm also going to be probably doing a few more live streams, like on I GTV and I'll probably doing a straight talk greetings from Connecticut. Yes. No sugar added. Hey Nina, how are you doing? Send a request to be on your live video. There's so many things that we can do, and there's so many things that we can experiment with that. I encourage you all to do this. Now I have spent the weekend I'm rebranding or not rebranding, but I'm adding some things, I'm adding some courses to the #PirateSyndicate and I'm going to be pushing out the #PirateSyndicate. So if you know somebody that wants to start their own show and doesn't want to deal with the technology, doesn't want to deal with all the hassle of everything that goes on with. That's what the #PirateSyndicate does. Tracie does an excellent job for producing this show. She's there, as you heard with bill it's easy, it's super simple. It's just a very comfortable process. And so Tracie makes it so amazing and so easy. The guests show up the guests show up because they're on time. They know what to do. They know where to go. Everything is in place. That's the systems that we have built and put together for the #PirateSyndicate. And that's what we're going to be putting a little more energy into. So for the last 500 episodes, I've been, highlighting and sharing everybody's story. And I want to start doing that at a next level. I'm going to continue to pursue producing shows for others. In fact, I think, yeah. A couple of shows to produce this week. And a lot of people don't know that we do that because I really, I'm not a very good self promoter. However, if you have the. If you have the opportunity and ambition, and you want to do this and you want to take it to the next level. That's what the #PirateSyndicate, it's all about. And you can actually book a call with me. In fact, I should put this up here. Let me see if I can get this up there and I'm on StreamYard now. So the banners are in a different place, but let's see, let me create a banner real quick and it's book Russ. And so bookruss.com scroll across the bottom is there we go. How do I help? I help people, busy entrepreneurs that don't want to hassle with the technology to be seen, to be heard, to build authority and get the word out there. Just like I do. The last 500 episodes on the #PirateBroadcast™. It's a process. It's an amazing opportunity to do there. Oh yeah, Marcia Reece, privileged to be spending tomorrow with you on Amazon live. You're always so encouraging. We thank you. So we got so we've got people that have products and services on Amazon and we can promote those products and services. I don't promote too much on the pirate broadcast. Cause it's about you. It's not about me. It's not about my services. We do need to, actually do business on occasion here because I still have bills. I don't know about you to hear us tomorrow night on dynamic athletics group, join the zoom meeting. That's. Thank you so much, Liz, for putting that out there. I really appreciate that. If you want to, you can always. Reach out in the comments of LinkedIn and connect with me and let me know if you want to join in, or you can connect with Liz she's on LinkedIn as well. So you can do that. And also Jeff Young, Jeff, so amazing. I felt bad here. Totally transparent. Jeff sent me we were communicating back and forth and I was, I, and I had every intention to send him a recommendation because Jeff is awesome and I wanted to support him. And I sent it off late and the link had expired. So anyway, I hope you're doing well, Jeff, if you need anything, let me know. Let me know how I can add value to your day. Russ Hedge. Good morning, Russ. Congratulations on 500. This is very cool. Michael Becker baker says I'm interested in starting on starting doing a show on self-development and discipline. It's all about desire and ambition to pursue what you really want to do. Absolutely. Absolutely. I'm a professional squirrel hunter. I get distracted by so many things and there is an opportunity out there that. There's an opportunity out there that you have to sacrifice. It's all about deciding what you are going to remove from your plate in order to achieve some of the goals that you want to accomplish, because there's time is the currency. Time is really the currency that we're working through. So it's really about that. I want to turn this off. How do I help? Yeah, we got it. I want to give another shout out. I'm going to share this. So let me share this this message from Russ Hedge. Since he's in the room, let me share this screen. So let's see what Russ has to say. Hey, Russ, I wanted to. It is a privilege and an honor from one Russ to another, to be a pirate and be part of your community. I've been blessed to be on the pirate Brad test two times. I love you and count you as a friend. Congratulations. On 500. Thank you, Russ. Thank you. I really appreciate you. And I consider you a friend as well, and somebody that is always encouraging and always supportive. And as we, we can't have enough kindness around the world right now. Can you says Andrew's in the room 500 time to walk the plank, maybe a hundred percent. Actually we need to talk because I'm looking to interview. People in the wholesale business, the suppliers, supply chain individuals that are really doing some great work behind the scenes that we really don't see. A lot of, I want to do. I want to develop a show around there, Andrew. I think you'd be a good one to do some introductions to, so let's connect. Wendy says adding value. Russ adding value are your middle names. Thank you for responding so quickly with such compassionate professional squirrel. Hunter is a new one is new to me on your LinkedIn profile. I keep that on the download. So true, time is currency Neena Perez, CRA congratulations on 500. Thank you so much. Jenny's gold standard Russ and Russ love you, both. Fantastic. I love that. There's so much to be looking forward to, and so many things to consider as we're going through this and we just need to have a little bit, yeah. Patience with each other. What do you think? What do you think Samantha joined a Austin Wilson and nephew. Thank you so much. Looking forward to getting on LinkedIn live, Amazon live, IG, live all of these live locations. It's really amazing to me to think that we have an opportunity to put ourselves out there to highlight and shine the light on some other individuals in the communities and just have conversations, have real conversations. And I think it's important for us to understand that we have the technology. We have the ability, we have the opportunity to do this. If you're stuck with technology, we need to have a conversation whether you just want to do a podcast. Hundreds of podcasting classes on podcasting. And I actually have some classes go. I have some clients right now that are learning the podcast live streaming. If you want to learn about live streaming or have a done for you reach out, let's have a conversation. It's a simple process for me. It may not be simple for everyone. However, I've been doing it for well decades. Cause I'm vintage and I'm always curious. So it's really one of those things that you just have to really, I just love it. I love learning. I love learning about tech. I love learning about how I can actually achieve some results around this subject and this and this topic, because it's important for me to actually do some things. I want to share another. Another message here because most of you will recognize this this individual here. Let's see if I can do this. Hey. Hey, congratulations to you, Russ. 500 episodes. Whoa. That is amazing as a fellow podcaster with be anything but typical podcast. 500 episodes is anything but typical. I can't even imagine that we're not even a 10th of the way there. So congratulations to you. And it is very true. Thank you for continuing to shout the message. #kindnessiscool and #smilesarefree and you are a blessing. Thank you, Russ. There's so many people that have responded to my request for a little bit of a testimonial. So if you've had an experience and you, I had an opportunity to just shoot me something, I'm going to put it out there. I'm going to collect all these and putting it into a a location that actually allows them to be shared out again. Maybe a post someplace. I think there's some social media platform that works. I don't know. They'll just see. And in fact, this episode is going to get embedded on a word on on my Russ Johns site. So I'm going to test that. I'm going to StreamYard you recently added embedding, so I can add bed this episode afterwards and check it out. So that's cool. And then so let me sit there. Somebody else that sent a video here recently let's see Richard Moore. Some of you may know Richard we'll hear from LinkedIn cons accelerator. I just have to say, let me see if I can get this started on LinkedIn. That's it here. Let me know. Let me add him to the. Okay, there you go. Nor hear from LinkedIn contact. Sellerator I just have to say Ross 500 episodes is disgustingly. Impressive. Few people are that consistent. So congratulations. I have the fortunate meeting for the first time in Vegas. That was awesome. What was that? 2019, I think. And yeah, it's just them being amazing. Seeing you just show everyone how it's done. So congrats to you. Amazing work and happy to be connected. Boom. Thank you. It was just a lot of comments here. I'm a little disappointed. You didn't get 501 done by now. Andrew it's already scheduled. It's already booked. I got guests going. So it's on the map. It's on the map. Your your authenticity brings admirable. Thank you so much, Michael? Humility is key. Absolutely. I'll be sending in mind for sure. It #kindnessiscool, #smilesarefree love you guys. I just really thank you so much for all the opportunities to connect and do everything. And I know that there's probably some times where everything wasn't perfect. Which is okay. Perfectly imperfect is a great place to be. As long as you're taking steps, you're taking actions and you're moving forward. That's what counts. And we're going to have dips in the road. We're going to have bumps in the highway. The journey is not always easy. And those moments are when we learn and we grow and we become resilient and the more resilient we become can become the more we appreciate life and what it offers us, the opportunity to be who we are and assist those around us. I think it's important for us to realize that we have the opportunity to be better than we are today. Just improve a little bit every single day, incrementally wisdom, add things to your life, remove things from your life it's give and take. And that theme alone is allowed me to do. Realize that time is currency. Kindness is cool and smiles are free. That's the whole purpose of what we're doing here. That's the whole goal of the #PirateBroadcast the whole pirate mentality is that we're all here together on the same ship. We're still flying through the universe on the same rock. We don't need to have a lot of conflict because it doesn't really work. We all have to be working together. We all have to be working in, in, in some way, shape or form to appreciate and understand what we have together. And we have to understand that you have an opportunity to do something with your life and you can help other people along your journey. And it doesn't take away from what you're doing. It doesn't take away when you say, oh T somebody this I'll lose it. It's there abundance there's we cannot run out of abundance. We're all able and capable of doing great things in our own special way. So I just think that we have to set back, realize and understand that we're here to help. We're here to serve. And when you understand that is the foundation of humanity serving others. That's when the magic happens, that's when things take place. That's when we actually achieve a bigger outcome, a better result. And I just. I just thank every one of you for being here. Thank you so much for understanding and appreciating what we're doing here and the opportunity to grow and move this thing forward and know that you are special. You are unique and you have the opportunity to do great things. And I love you all. So with that, I'll let you get back to your holiday spirit, your labor day, maybe you're grilling today. Maybe you're doing something fun with the family. I don't know, but whatever you do, sit back and reflect on how you can help serve your community, how you can help serve those around you and what you can do with what you have, where you are. Make steps every day to improve because you know what #kindnessiscool and smiles are free. So you enjoy the day and until, and look forward to some email updates releases on some products and services and I am I'm open for business. So reach out book Russ booker.com. Let's book a brief call. See if I can help you see if I can introduce you to somebody and help you along your journey. All right. So thank you so much. I love you. #kindnessiscool smiles are free and all the good things that come out of this 500 episodes. Appreciate it. Take care and enjoy the day. And let me go to here. Let me go to the brand. I'm going to go. I'm going away. Take care.
